The M6 motorway serves Cumbria, running north to connect to Glasgow and connecting to Manchester, Birmingham and Preston, ensuring easy transport in and around the Cumberland area.
Rail

Ferries to Ireland and Europe run from nearby Liverpool on a regular basis.
