HOME BUYERS' GUIDE TO CROMARTYSHIRE PROPERTY

Cromartyshire, now amalgamated with Ross-shire, is one of the UK's northern-most counties and also one of our most sparsely populated. Covering a vast expanse in the Highlands of Scotland, Cromartyshire is remote from major conurbations with the exception of Inverness, and has a particularly rural and agriculturally-dependent local economy. As a result, transport infrastructure is comparatively weaker than elsewhere in Scotland, both roads and public transports. However, far from the bustling cities of the Central Belt, Cromartyshire offers a true retreat from the rat race, and life at a much slower pace that many would-be residents find alluring.
